| The Psychiatric Assistant is primarily responsible for providing secretarial support to psychiatrists of the Psychiatric Services. Transcribes Doctor’s psychiatric evaluation and progress notes with accuracy. Schedules patients for follow-up appointments and track cancellations / no shows. Provides Spanish interpretation for all Spanish-speaking Van Nuys clients and caregivers. Monitors compliance of medication consent forms. Monitors and coordinates all pharmacy contacts, refill data, and prescription records. Helps solve insurance coverage issues. |
Qualifications: |
| B.A./B.S. preferred. Knowledge of mental health field. Knowledge of psychological / psychiatric terminology. Bilingual in Spanish / English a must. Ability to type 65wpm. |
