Description:

The School Nurse is primarily responsible for performing general mental health and school nursing responsibilities to children and adolescents in the day treatment program and, as appropriate, administrative functions regarding staff health clearances, accident reports, and other records. Dispenses prescribed medications to clients, as per M.D.’s orders and establishes and maintains medication records for Northpoint clients. Completes assigned DMH paperwork and meets productivity standards.

Qualifications:

R.N., may consider exceptional L.V.N. Relevant nursing experience in special education setting, psychiatric facility and/or residential treatment program.
