We are growing and are looking for a “best-of-breed” Account Manager who will coordinate and administer employee benefits programs for an assigned group of clients. This includes group medical and dental plans, group life insurance, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans.This role also supports our Producers in new business, renewal marketing and ongoing client communication and service.

Duties:

  • Day to day management of client services and administration of employee benefit plans to include claims and billing issue resolution.
  • Provide project leadership and direction to implement technology-based benefit administration tools for employee benefit plans.
  • Provide plan analysis of new prospect and renewal client benefits programs and designs.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with federal and state laws as required, including plan documents, summary plan descriptions, non-discrimination testing, government filings and plan audits. Must be knowledgeable and competent with Form 5500 filings, SPD, SAR, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Section 125.
  • Manage vendor relationships and perform renewal negotiations.
  • Create communication materials for employees.
  • Coordinate and/or attend client benefits enrollment meetings.
  • Assist clients when necessary to process new hires and terminations on benefit plans, ensuring timely employee enrollments and terminations.
  • Interface with carriers on plan administration and account management issues.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Employee Benefits brokerage experience working with small and large employer groups in various industries
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel); excellent data entry skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and distill technical information relating to benefits
  • Positive customer service attitude and demonstrated client management skills
  • Ability to analyze renewal data and industry trends
  • Ability to work with confidential information
  • Professional and conscientious, and ability to work in a team environment Requirements:
