The Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort and Spa, a four-star, four diamond resort in San Diego is currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to work the AM Shift at our newly renovated Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant. The shift will start at 6am.

Inspired by the olive trees, gardens and villas that dot the Mediterranean coastline, the Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant melds the classic and the unexpected, making it a place one simply has to experience. Fresh and modern, Veranda's new menu features Mediterranean cuisine with a Southern California twist. Each dish is designed by the Resort's team of chefs using locally-sourced ingredients.

Veranda is a high volume 3 meal restaurant, additionally, the AM Restaurant Manager will also be the acting manager of the bar, lounge, and room service during the AM shift.


Duties:

The essential duties of the AM Restaurant Manager are to manage the opening staff and operations of the Veranda Restaurant and outlets (bar, lounge, and room service) to ensure their cleanliness, safety and aesthetic appeal and optimal dining experience of all guests

-To understand and respond to all guest needs and request in a timely and professional manner
-To continuously interact with guest to ensure professional, personalized service throughout the meal
-To assist the Veranda Restaurant Manager in the hring, training, scheduling and discipline of employees
-To oversee dining room to ensure professional standards of restaurant operation

Qualifications:

Must have at least 3 years experience in a similar position in an establishment of similar quality, to include high volume 3 meal restaurant, room service, bar and lounge experience.

Hotel experience is highly preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
